Gameplay and Controls

Crescent Solitaire is a unique and challenging single-player card game. Your goal is to move all the cards from the outer piles into the 8 foundation piles at the center.

The core rules are as follows

1. Foundation Piles

You must build cards either ascending from Ace to King or descending from King to Ace, all in the same suit. This means each foundation pile can be built bidirectionally.

2. Tableau Piles

You can drag and move cards between the outer piles. A card can be placed on another card only if they are of the same suit and sequential in value (either ascending or descending). For example, you can place the 8♥ on either the 7♥ or the 9♥.

How to Play & Tips

- Move cards by clicking or dragging.
- Plan your moves carefully and make use of the bidirectional building rule to solve the layout.
- If no more moves are available, you can click the “RESHUFFLE” button at the bottom right to deal new cards. Use this feature wisely, as it is limited (usually to 3 uses).

Enjoy a peaceful yet strategic card experience in this elegantly designed crescent layout!

Game Guide

Crescent Solitaire offers a rich strategic experience with its unique crescent layout and "bidirectional building" rule. Mastering the following techniques can significantly improve your win rate.

Core Objective and Rules

The ultimate goal is to clear all outer piles. This is achieved by moving cards to the 8 central foundation piles:

Foundation Piles: Must be built in the same suit, either ascending from Ace to King or descending from King to Ace.

Tableau Piles: Cards can be moved if they are of the same suit and sequentially adjacent (ascending or descending).

Key Strategies

1. Prioritize Uncovering Cards Early

Avoid rushing to move cards to the foundations. First, observe the entire layout. Prioritize moving cards that uncover the most buried cards, and strive to create empty slots** for greater operational flexibility.

2. Choose Building Direction Wisely

Dynamically decide the direction for each foundation pile based on the card distribution. For example, if an Ace is buried under a King, start building that suit descending from the King to free the Ace quickly, and vice versa. Use the bidirectional rule flexibly to your advantage.

3. Maintain Tableau Fluidity

Avoid creating "dead piles"—stacks where the top card cannot be moved. Sometimes, intentionally breaking sequences and keeping movable intermediate cards can create new opportunities.

Resource Management

Use "Reshuffle" Judiciously: This is a precious resource. Use it only when all visible moves fail to uncover new cards and a true deadlock occurs. Each reshuffle changes the situation, requiring reassessment.

Final Mindset

Maintain a global perspective and patiently weigh the benefits of each move. Victory belongs to those who observe carefully and think deeply. Enjoy the challenge of this crescent-shaped intellectual battle!
