Gameplay and Controls

I. Basic Operations: Slide with Fingers, Easy to Get Started

Block Movement:

Slide your finger up, down, left, or right on the screen to control the simultaneous movement of colorful blocks. Blocks will move in the sliding direction until they hit the boundary or other blocks. The operation logic is consistent with the classic Klotski (block-pushing game), making it easy for beginners to pick up.

Interface Observation:

The screen will display "exit areas" marked with colors, and each colorful block needs to match the color of the exit; the timer at the top shows the remaining time in real time. You need to pay attention to the time progress to avoid failing the level.

II. Core Goal: Match Colors, Eliminate to Clear the Level

Matching Rule:

Adjust the position of blocks by sliding, and move any block to the exit area with the same color as the block to complete the matching of a single block.

Level Clear Condition:

Continue to move and match blocks until all colorful blocks are successfully eliminated. If you finish this before the timer runs out, you will clear the level. If there are still uneliminated blocks when the time is up, you need to retry the level.

III. Advanced Tips: Plan Efficiently to Face Challenges

Priority Ranking:

Prioritize moving blocks whose color is close to the exit position to avoid being blocked by other blocks and reduce ineffective operations.

Space Prediction:

When encountering scenarios where multiple blocks are stacked, first plan a "path" — move the edge blocks to free up space, then adjust the position of the core blocks to be matched. This is similar to the layout strategy of Klotski.

Time Management:

For low-difficulty levels, you can quickly try and error to get familiar with the mechanism; for high-difficulty levels, it is recommended to observe for 10 seconds before operating to avoid wasting time due to blind sliding.

Game Guide

When you start playing Color Block Jam, don’t rush to slide blocks. Spend 30 seconds observing the interface first: note where each exit color is located, how blocks are distributed, and the distance between edge blocks and their matching exits. This simple step can cut 50% of ineffective moves right away. For example, if a red exit is in the top-right corner, guide the red block toward that direction first—don’t let other blocks block its path. If you meet an "isolated block" (surrounded by blocks of different colors), never force it to move. Instead, slide its adjacent blocks to create empty space; this way, the isolated block can move smoothly later.

Mid-game levels bring two big challenges: multi-block stacking and "cross-blocking". For stacked blocks, use the "layered processing" trick. First, move upper-layer blocks that don’t have a matching exit (like a green block when there’s no green exit) to empty areas. Then, focus on lower-layer blocks that need to match exits—this avoids messing up key blocks early. For cross-blocking (when Block A blocks Exit B and Block B blocks Exit A), try "cycle adjustment". Slide Block A to a spot far from Exit B first, so Block B can reach its exit. Once Block B is eliminated, go back to adjust Block A; this breaks the deadlock quickly.

High-difficulty time-limited levels require smart time management. Master "priority ranking": eliminate blocks with multiple matching exits first. These blocks clear up space fast and reduce on-screen clutter. If only 10 seconds are left and 3+ blocks remain, stop overthinking—pick the easiest-to-match block (the one closest to its exit with the least obstacles) and focus on it. Also, use "level memory": jot down recurring patterns like "L-shaped blocking" or "central stacking". Next time you see them, reuse the same strategy to save time.
Late-game ultra-hard levels often have "dynamic blocking"—moving one block triggers a new block that blocks another. Plan 2-3 moves ahead: before pushing a blue block, check if it will block the yellow block’s path. If yes, adjust the yellow block first. Don’t chase perfection, either. If a block can’t be matched now, slide it to a corner temporarily. Clear other blocks first, then come back to it when the interface is simpler. Remember, the game’s core is "color matching + space planning". Take it step by step, stay patient, and even the hardest levels will be beatable.
